SECOND LOCATION!!!!!

 Dr. Benjamin J. Laux, Sr., founder and clinic director of Chiro-Med, has outgrown his location at 3200 W. Main St. in Belleville, IL. after just six years of being in practice.  Dr. Laux took over an average practice and has grown it to be an extremely busy practice filled with numerous success stories and extremely appreciative patients. Dr. Laux’s patients range in ages from 6 months to 98 years of age and he likes to think of each and every one of them as his extended family. And just like a family that has outgrown their starter home, Dr. Laux’s practice has been filled to capacity for quite some time.

“Even though we are an extremely busy practice, we still make time for new patients as they are always welcome in my ‘home’.” Dr. Laux states.      

Instead of moving to a larger location, Dr. Laux decided to do a demographic study on where his patients lived and how far they were driving to receive treatment. Upon completion of the study, he realized that many of his patients were driving a considerable amount of time and distance to come and see him. So, instead of just moving to a larger location down the street, Dr. Laux decided to do something a little unconventional which re-confirms his commitment to his extended “family” and the community.

“After seeing the results, I asked myself how I could accommodate my patients better. How could I make my patients health care more convenient for them? That’s when I decided that instead of buying a bigger “house” down the street, I would simply open another clinic on the other side of town making it easier for my patients to take care of their health care needs.”

Dr. Laux searched and came to rest on the location of 1480 N. Green Mount Rd. in O’Fallon Illinois.

 “With a location picked out that would serve my patients better, the only thing left was finding the right doctor for that clinic. I mean, I had to find someone that I could trust with my “family” of patients.” 

      That’s when he directed his attention to an old classmate and colleague of his from Logan College, Dr. Michael Hines.  Dr. Hines was born and raised in St. Louis County. After graduation, Dr. Hines became an associate with a local practice in St. Louis built mostly on Personal Injury.  As the two kept in touch after graduation, Dr. Laux picked up on the fact the Dr. Mike wasn’t finding the Personal Injury practice he was working at very rewarding. And hearing Dr. Hines’ desire to work at a more fulfilling practice, Dr. Laux proposed the idea of him being the clinic director in the O’Fallon clinic.

“Before giving me an answer, I asked him to do a week of vacation coverage for me. This way he could experience what a wellness and whole health care clinic feels like,” said Dr. Laux.

“ I remember the excitement after my first day of working at Dr. Laux’s clinic. I couldn’t wait to tell my wife about the appreciation the patients had for what we were doing for them. I told her how the clinic was filled with hugs and handshakes and what a great feeling that was.” adds Dr. Hines    

Getting nothing but positive feedback from his patients when Dr. Laux returned from his first vacation in five years, the decision was made and the new clinic was born at 1480 N. Green Mount Rd.  The new location is a beautiful brick building located across the street from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital on N. Green Mount Rd. Dr. Laux hand picked and chose only local contractors to do the build out staying true to his dedication to the community. It features the same services as the founding clinic in Belleville, ranging from Chiropractic Healthcare all the way to Pre and Post surgical rehabilitation.

“It’s pretty exciting! Adding a new addition to an already successful and happy family is always a good thing,” Dr. Laux says smiling.     

Chiro-Med of O’Fallon, at 1480 N. Green Mount Rd., is currently accepting new patients. They will celebrate their Grand Opening on Saturday, March 31^st 2007 from 10am to 2pm. During that time, Chiro-Med will be issuing two $1,000.00 college scholarships as a way of giving back to the community that has helped make them so successful.  One scholarship will be given to a graduating senior from Belleville West High School and one scholarship will be given to a graduating senior from O’Fallon High School.
