Who We Are: 

Chiro-Med is a health care facility with over 75 years of combined experience. We started our journey of improving the quality of life over six years ago at 3200 W. Main St. in Belleville, IL.

Due to the overwhelming success of our Belleville clinic, we recently opened a second clinic at 1480 N. Green Mount Rd. in O’Fallon, IL.

 What We Offer:

The Chiro-Med Health Fair Program is a way for our doctors and staff to give back and stay active in the community. By owning all of the current state of the art equipment, our Health Fair Program is a one-stop shop allowing you to offer up to seven different stations of screenings for your members with absolutely no fees or obligations involved. Chiro-Med Health fairs are also one of the few programs that actually staff a licensed physician to be present during all their scheduled bookings.  Stations Available:

Bone Density Screenings

 This service is provided through the use of the AccuDEXA-7100 by Schick Technologies. This onsite BMD produces a printed report right on the spot.

 Surface EMG

This service is provided through the use of  the Insight Millenium Surface Electromyography System. With this device, we can measure muscle imbalances and asymmetry allowing us to identify underlying biomechanical conditions at very early stages. This machine was built on the same technology that N.A.S.A. uses to screen their astronauts prior to deployment and also prints out a report right on the spot.

 Blood Pressure Screenings

This service is provided to screen for hypertension in order to help prevent stroke, kidney disorders, and heart attack.

Stress

At this station, the member fills out a questionairre and is assigned a numerical value. They then cross reference that number with the Interpretation Key to find out their current level of stress. They are also given handouts on the early warning signs and risk factors of stress.

 Postural Analysis

Here, the member will be graded on several key reference points of their posture. They are given a handout explaining what normal posture looks like and the ill effects of poor posture on the human body.

 Massage Therapy

This always tends to be a very popular station! Here, the member will receive a short 5-minute massage in an ergonomically designed chair by a licensed therapist. They are also given a handout on the benefits of massage therapy for anxiety, depression, and muscle rehabilitation.

 Body Fat Testing

To obtain a member’s Body Mass Index, we use the OMRON HBF-300 Analyzer. This device measures body fat through the use of Bioelectrical Impedence. Muscles, blood vessels and bones are body tissues having high water content and thus conduct electricity easily. Body fat is tissue that has little electric conductivity. The HBF-300 is capable of reading one’s body fat in a matter of seconds and gives the results instantly.

So there you have it! A brief overview of the Chiro-Med Health Fair Program. All you have to do is pick the month and date and we do the rest. For churches, we recommend you pick a time for the program to be available for members directly after one of the church services. The turnout is always better and it’s more convenient for your members to attend.
